Deathloop is shaping up to be one of the year's most interesting PlayStation 5 titles, and if you haven't already had your fill of it following last week's State of Play showcase, here's another trailer designed to tell you exactly how it works. It's creative director Dinga Bakaba do the talking as he guides us through the eight targets upon Blackreef island that need taking down as well as the unusual time loop mechanic giving you a second shot at them all following death.
The PS5 game, out on 21st May 2021, features some pretty interesting abilities that wouldn't look too out of place in a Dishonored game β it is made by Arkane Studios, after all. You'll be able to connect enemy's minds together to then take them all down at once and a traversal skill that looks a lot like Blink. Then, when you die, you'll keep your weapons and abilities, ready for another run. It will all look pretty darn good to in 4K at 60 frames-per-second. The end of May can't come soon enough, but are you too excited about this one? Start a time loop in the comments below.

Timed console Exclusive another day another Deathloop trailer this is gonna fail so hard. Lol timed console exclusive confirmed at the the end. Also available on Pc, Not available on other consoles till May 21, 2022
I really like the look of this but I canβt bring myself to watch another trailer π
Somehow I thought this was a multiplayer only game. Defo interested now. Wonder if I'll have a PS5 by May?
I feel like the headline is misleading - it's a TIMED exclusive. It doesn't even say "timed exclusive" in the article to clarify.
I'm not normally into shooters, but it's great to see something fresh and original, and I'm definitely interested! Couldn't give a hoot about exclusivity, the more people who play great games the better! Everyone wins! π
The more I see of Deathloop, the more I'm looking forward to it. It doesn't even necessarily look like my kind of game, but this thing just glows with personality and style.
I'll wait for GamePass PC version.
Looks fun, I want to play it although not at launch.
Dishonoured 2 was one of my games of last gen, so this is possibly my most anticipated game this year. And my reservation on this has been answered here - you're not forced to play so quickly as previous trailers seemed to portray, it looks like you can play methodically and then amp things up when you're ready. Can't wait!
I also thought this was multiplayer only and I haven't been paying attention to it.
Then again, it's a timed exclusive, apparently, and it's a soon-to-be-MS-owned game...so.....Game Pass confirmed....
Sounds like a great way to stretch 5 hours of content to 20 hours.
Oh man, this made me feel tired. As a lot of new games, they just can't contain themselves and hit the brakes at one point. Got a time loop, got all the weapons, throw in multiple targets, put magic in, put regular enemies, put in other assassins and and and. Ah, stop already. I was interested in this game and now am definitely gonna skip. The game sounds like a chore.
I dont understand the hate for this game, archane makes some really great games. Prey was one of my favorite ps4 games.
This looks so cool.
Looks great, I'll end up playing on PC as I'm guessing this will be day one game pass.
@deathaxe I think the Game Pass will only be announced when MS does its Bethesda news conf.
I'm still interested in this game, but as another commenter has pointed out, it'll def be half price or cheaper by the time Black Friday rolls around.
Hopefully the reviews are good and launch supporters have a fun time though!
